Cinderella after Midnight

Cinderella after midnight
All alone upon the curb.
Where’s your carriage?
Where’s your horses?
Pumpkin, rats is all you have.
Cinderella after midnight,
What’s a princess s’posed to do?

In the castle good Prince Charming
Thought the night was so superb.
Where’s your lady?
Why at midnight?
All that’s left is one glass shoe.

Cinderella and Prince Charming
Feel like they are worlds apart.
But the darkness hides the knowledge
Of how close they really are.
Cinderella after midnight
Lift your eyes toward rosy Dawn,
Where the light reveals Prince Charming
Waking troops to search for you.
